When the light source illuminates the object under test, part of the scattered light diffuses into the object, part is absorbed by the object, and part penetrates the fruit. The degree to an object absorbs light is related to factors such as the nature of the object, the wavelength of the light, and the length of the propagation path. Some objects convert part of the absorbed light into fluorescence and delayed emission, etc.
Through the detection of transmission spectrum and reflection spectrum, food defect detection, composition analysis, maturity and freshness analysis can be performed. Optical property detection technology measures the quality indicators of food, automatically classifies it, and distinguishes the overall quality level. Commonly used optical inspection instruments are photoelectric sorters and color sorters.
The photoelectric sorting machine is a sorting device according to size. The color sorting machine uses the optical characteristics of the material to automatically sort, remove the defective products and impurity materials with abnormal colors, surface defects or internal deterioration. Both sorters use lenses, which are optically designed and consist of optical lenses.
Other sorting devices include monochromators and near-infrared interferometers. The monochromator is mainly composed of a monochromatic beam splitting system, a zoom system, a filter group and a spherical lenses system. The grating room is mainly composed of a filter set, two concave mirrors, a grating turntable and a reflector. The incident spectrum can be filtered automatically or manually according to requirements. The two spherical mirrors mainly realize the focusing and reflection of light.
Optical property testing removes defective products from qualified materials. It classifies products according to the content of a certain component in the materials and with different maturity levels, so as to be stored and sold separately. The device for sorting according to the color of the peel uses optical mirrors and optical lenses. The chlorophyll detection device for tea uses a focusing lens and a monochromator. Through ultraviolet technology, the fluorescence in peanuts is detected. Peanuts containing aflatoxin are selected. The optical system of the device is composed of eyepieces, cut-off filter, objective lenses, excitation filter (334-365nm) and focusing lens.
