Optical Filters
Optical filters are a class of optical elements that selectively transmit, reflect, cut off, or attenuate spectral wavelengths.
Based on their function, they can be classified into bandpass filters, long-pass filters, short-pass filters, dichroic filters, neutral density filters (ND filters), notch filters, cold reflective mirrors, hot reflective mirrors, and color filters. Based on their manufacturing process, they can be classified into interference filters and color absorption filters. These filters are widely used in industries and products such as spectral analysis, biomedicine, machine vision, fluorescence microscopy, and industrial automation.
Bandpass filters selectively allow certain wavelengths of light to pass through while blocking others within their spectral range. Neutral density filters (ND filters) reduce luminous flux by decreasing transmittance within a specified spectral wavelength range, thus protecting sensors and electronic components; they are widely used in laser optics and optoelectronics. Cold/hot reflectors selectively reflect and transmit longer wavelengths of light within a specific spectral range and are widely used in lighting systems to effectively dissipate heat generated during illumination.
CLZ Optical Co., Ltd. is a standard supplier of optical filters. We not only offer a large stock of standard filters but also provide custom-made filters to meet your specific needs.

Long-pass filters are a special type of optical wavelength selector. These filters are designed to allow light with wavelengths longer than a specific cutoff wavelength to pass through, while effectively blocking shorter wavelengths. Their working principle is primarily based on the phenomena of light interference and reflection, achieving selective transmission of specific wavelengths of light through a carefully designed multi-layered reflective film structure.

Short-pass filters allow light with wavelengths shorter than a set value to pass through, while blocking light with wavelengths longer than a set value.
CLZ Optical Co., Ltd.'s short-pass filters are widely used in fluorescence excitation spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, spectral grouping, and astronomical observation. They are also widely used in imaging optics systems and machine vision systems to eliminate interfering light outside the usable wavelength range, greatly improving image clarity and system sensitivity.

Bandpass filters are suitable for a variety of applications, such as spectroscopy, clinical chemistry, or imaging. Narrow bandwidth (<20 nm) filters are typically used in elemental and chemical analysis applications, analytical instruments, and laser purification. Wide bandwidth (>20 nm) filters are typically used in imaging applications, including fluorescence microscopy, machine vision, and factory automation.
